Between two waters

Description

Being in Borneo, Indonesia, in 2010 marked me as a photographer. Understanding the close relationship that exists between water and life sounds trivial. Still, in that place, specifically in the Mahakam River Delta, east of this island, where I lived for more than six months, this relationship came to life for me. I could understand my inclination in photography.

"Between Two Waters" marks the arrival of the Mahakam River to the Cebeles Sea after a long crossing that makes it one of the longest rivers in this country. Then, two mangrove trees, characteristic of this area of the world, are trapped in the middle of fresh and salt water, marked by the rhythm of the tide that floods them daily and then uncovers them, giving life to a rich marine fauna that takes refuge at their feet.
